An alternative narrative on inclusive democracy and electoral accountability

“ActionAid will work with rights holders and human rights defenders to enlarge democratic space, so that all people have freedom to organise. We believe that every person has the right to participate in decision-making that affects them, at every level, and we will step up efforts aimed at enhancing democracy through participation of excluded individuals and groups in decision- making. ActionAid prioritises the leadership of women and young people, especially those living in poverty and exclusion, in our efforts to achieve social justice, gender equality and poverty eradication.
